After repairing C-extensions for 10 years, I have come to understand what works and what doesn't. Some are too heavy, others buzz, and many of them play out of tune.

I'm pleased to offer bassists a handmade extension that allows each lever to be tuned exactly to the required note, without buzzing or leather pads that wear out. Different extension strings require slightly different note placement. Pirastro vs. Thomastik, for example. Levers are fabricated from composite black acetal; a composite material that is stronger than wood, self-lubricating, and highly resistant to changes in temperature and humidity.

Extra time and care is given to insure that the ebony-extension bar fits around the bass scroll so that cutting and removing the wood is unnecessary.
